Indianapolis might not be the first city that comes to mind when people talk about futuristic music movements, but Andre OrphEe is quietly redefining what Midwest creativity can sound—and feel—like. Blending R&B, hip hop, disco, jazz, and science-driven concepts, OrphEe isn’t just making music; he’s developing an ecosystem where sound, technology, and imagination collide.
Coming out of Indianapolis, OrphEe describes the local energy as open and fluid. “Indianapolis Midwest; we mix contemporary music with disco and rnb,” he explains, adding that the culture allows for experimentation across genres. “Our music taste are pretty open minded,” a mindset that clearly informs his genre-bending approach. It’s a city where jazz grooves can meet hip hop basslines, and where unexpected influences are welcomed rather than boxed in.
That openness is central to how OrphEe’s life experiences shape his art. Through his platform MODA7L, he’s focused on merging futuristic visuals, cyber themes, and sound design. “We develop MODA7L as a mean of developing cyber theme throughout the global sphere and infusing it with our passion for space objects,” he says. Encounters with experimental graphic technology—particularly around Chicago museums—sparked a bigger idea: translating those immersive experiences into music and digital spaces for a global audience. “We make things great with as much details in our craft as well as in our sound,” OrphEe notes, emphasizing depth over surface-level aesthetics.
At the core of his inspiration is science fiction and boundary-pushing creativity. OrphEe cites modern R&B artists and visual innovators as influences, pointing to “Science fictions ; rnb artists like Maeta that mix their sound with diverse genre like funk” alongside experimental filmmakers. Social media, for him, isn’t about trends—it’s about connection. “It matter of making authentic experience for the audiences and fan worldwide,” he explains. That philosophy extends into MODA7L’s experiments with AI, cyberspace, and what he describes as more advanced augmented realities that mirror human imagination with greater precision.
Fans should also know that OrphEe is deeply invested in how AI reshapes creativity and communication. “We develop MODA7L with AI in 2025,” he says, framing artificial intelligence as a tool that expands—not replaces—human vision. From global translation to deeper artistic interpretation, OrphEe sees AI as a bridge across cultures and disciplines. “With AI we are able to redefine artists vision and possibilities,” he explains, positioning technology as a faster, more immersive way to experience imagination in a world driven by entertainment and innovation.
All of these ideas converge on his latest release, AD City. The project introduces a cyberpunk-leaning soundscape rooted in R&B and hip hop, but pushing toward something new. “We try making a cyberpunk music origin mix with rnb and hip hop,” OrphEe says. During the process, the bigger mission became clear. “Throughout making AD City we realize the need of expanding our social science platform and the social science ways we use for staying connected with our audience.” Rather than relying on traditional virtual reality, OrphEe believes augmented reality and AI offer a more natural, accessible future—one where imagination moves at the speed of thought.
With AD City, Andre OrphEe isn’t just releasing music—he’s inviting listeners into a developing world where sound, science, and storytelling evolve together.
