California-originated singer-songwriter, Fana Hues released “Paper Tigers” on April 30, 2024, from her record label, Bright Antenna Records.
Kee Kwang directed the music video. It developed a science fiction creature where a wide-eyed Fana Hues asserted her unashamed love to her partner above psychedelic-soul epiphany. It shows the grandiosity of affection from an outstanding vocalist to step out of her comfort zone. On the “Paper Tigers” single, Fans explained “‘Paper Tigers’ are all bluster and no muster. I’m the opposite. I’m big on displaying love, yes, but I actually possess the love I’m showcasing. This song is about the discovery of a fresh love that’s so good, you have to scream about it.”
Fana Hues appeared on Tyler The Creator’s “SWEET/I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE”, and published two previous albums, “Hues” (2020), and “flora and fona” (2022). Fana Hues had previously toured with Ravenna, Snoh Aalegra, and Giveon in the United States while engaging a sold-out headline tour in Europe such as London’s Omerara as well as receiving co-signs from the influences of Janelle Monae, Sabrina Claudio, and Lucky Daye.
