Alternative-R&B singer-songwriter, Khalid confirmed his upcoming album, “Sincere”, which would be published on Friday, August 2 from Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records.
“‘Sincere’ is a combination of my life experiences, it takes inspiration from conversations that I have had with my fans, supporters, and the people that love me,” said Khalid.
Khalid resumes, “when I listen back to this project, I hear a sound that’s so unique and represents me at my best. This album is me at 26, continuing to evolve with the knowledge that I have garnered throughout the years.”
The 16-track of “Sincere” involves two latest singles: “Please Don’t Fall in Love With Me” & “Adore U”. Digi and Justin Lucas produced this album.
“‘Adore U’ is one of my favorite records. It delivers a melancholic experience filled with ethereal melodies and soulful vocals setting the tone for my upcoming album that I can’t wait for my fans to experience,” Khalid distinguished.
Khalid established his album era with “Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me”, published on May 10.
“The last few years consisted of me working diligently on what I presume to be my best and most personal album yet,” Khalid noted when he released the song.
“I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time in the studio working with some of my favorite creatives just to deliver this amazing body of work and now I finally get to share a piece of me in my new era with my day one fans!” Khalid continued.
Sincere is the follow-up for Khalid’s 2019 Sophomore album “Free Spirit”. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart, marking Khalid’s first chart-topper in his music career.
The double platinum album involved two top 10 Hot 100 singles: “Better” (Peak No. 8), and “Talk” featuring Disclosure (Peak No. 3), it is the highest-charting single in Khalid’s career. Talk was also the longest-running number one on the Adult R&B Airplay chart for 13 weeks. The former was verified 6x platinum; “Talk” was ordained 7x platinum early this year.
