Mariah Carey announced her 20th anniversary reissue of her comeback album, The Emancipation of Mimi. The new edition will arrive on May 30 via Def Jam. The extended 5xLP vinyl box set published involves the original 2005 album, the upcoming Ultra Platinum Edition. She set the new remix with the help of Kaytranada and Escentrik. Recently, Carey published the Kaytranada remix of “Don’t Forget About Us”.
The box set also includes 12 additional tracks, instrumentals, cappellas, and edits, from various CD singles and maxi singles. Everything is resident in a slipcase, alongside with 28-page booklet with photos of Carey and a letter from the singer to her fans. A deluxe 2xLP vinyl set would addition to be published, especially with a digital deluxe edition that features the selection of songs from the box set, as well as additional tracks to digitally.
