Mario released his sixth studio album, “Glad You Came” on December 13 via New Citizen/Epic Records. James Fauntleroy produced 13 tracks, especially “Space” as the lead single.
According to Rated R&B, “While the album’s details are still scarce, Mario’s website provides the following description: ‘Drawing inspiration from the timeless music of artists like Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson, Mario commands his craft in a way that only a 20-year veteran can.’”
Rated R&B also stated that “with intimate storytelling and lush instrumentation, supported by emotive vocal performances, Mario invites listeners into his space and reintroduces himself as one of the genre’s most game-changing artists.”
In July 2023, Mario made his association with Epic Records. He created a statement: “Right now, Epic comprises some of the greats in the music game like Sylvia Rhone and Ezekiel Lewis. I’ve been independent for eight years, so this is definitely a new chapter for me and New Citizen. We’re going to be one of the chariots for R&B, and we’re bringing it back.”
On January 30, 2025, Mario would participate the Legendary of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Mary J. Blige as an Opening Act for her For My Fans Tour. The 27-American city tour would travel to Atlanta, New York, Houston, New Orleans prior April 14 in Boston.
“Glad You Came” would be launched Mario’s first studio album in 15 years. His fourth album, “D.N.A” was published on October 8, 2009, via RCA Records/Jive.
