Mereba released her sophomore studio album, “The Breeze Grew a Fire” on February 14 via Secretly Canadian. It is the follow-up on her debut studio album, “The Jungle Is the Only Way Out” in 2019 via Interscope Records. She also published Interscope project, the Azeb EP in 2021.
Mereba collaborated with producer Sam Hoffman on the creation of “The Breeze Grew a Fire”. She stated in a press release, “For this [album], it went back to me being on my own for the creation of a lot of the songs, and it was really important for at this time of life because I was little disconnected from the world, and from who I was. So I was trying to find my way back to myself first. What do I like? What do I want to hear? What do I want to say to people now?”
