Offset released a song for the summer for his latest single, “Bodies,” featuring Atlanta-native rising star J.I.D., on June 20, 2025, via Motown Records. Vinylz and FNZ produced this track, combining Drowning Pool’s 2001 hit with a motivational rap anthem, featuring unfavorable piano, propulsive drums, and a nostalgic choir.
Offset provided realistic bars based on wealth, driven, and portion, while J.I.D. extends his verse, captivating and charming the song’s strength. The hook concentrates on the famous line “Let the bodies hit the floor,” providing a new definition in a contemporary context.
“’Bodies’ is one of them ones I had to really take my time with. It’s about standing on who you are, coming out the mud, and being confident in the face of adversity. I’m always evolving, and I don’t fit in a box as an artist,” said Offset. “I’ve been cooking this up for a minute and I’m just getting started. J.I.D. is my guy and had the perfect energy to match ‘Bodies.’ Stay tuned because we going up.”
The single was released with a creatively noticeable music video that was located in Los Angeles, and Offset was the creative director. SheShe Pendleton styled, and Mikey Rare edited the video as well. The bizarre clip appeared to show Offset dominating the desert runway of models, directly to the ecstatic choir. J.I.D. emerges as the grim frequent beyond him, while Offset conducts above the crown ceremony from an ornate throne.
“Bodies” pursues Offset’s striking, driven creativity and genre-combination track.
