Sexyy Red, who developed a summer playlist called “Get It Sexyy”, returned with another smash. On September 6, she published two recent singles, “U Know What To Do”, and “Clouted Up”, making her first music video, since her previous project, “In Sexyy We Trust”.
Chicago native, Mac Fly produced this track. “U Kno What To Do” shows the harmonic side of Sexyy Red combining provocative lyrics with a catchy tune above an upbeat sound. The song influenced almost 70,000 TikTok creators to join with the “My Name Sexyy Red” beat. “Clouted Up” on the other hand, reunited with her producer, Shawn Ferrari, provided a throwback sound of “mid-10’s mixtapes”.
The singles were released as Sexyy Red started her “Sexyy 4 President Tour”, a 26-city concert including opening acts: Hunxho, Blakeiana, and other performers, combining the first three concerts out of stock, The following week, she will participate at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards where she is nominated for two awards: “Best Hip-Hop Video” and “Best Collaboration”, which it will appear on Wednesday, September 11.
