Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s Luther reached an enormous milestone in the history of pop music where it spend 10 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in the week of May 3, 2025. The song decided R&B legendary Luther Vandross, made Lamar’s sixth, and SZA’s third, which extended both artists’ longest chart-topping in their careers.
During the tracking week of April 18-24, “Luther” gained 68.4 million radio airplay (rise 1%), 21.9 million streaming (decrease 13%), 2,000 downloads (decrease 14%). It also maintained at the top of the Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs Charts for the 18th consecutive week.
The cinematic latest music video released prior the “Grand National Tour” which started on April 19 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
