Los Angeles, California – On June 30, Tyla encouraged the audience to get off their seats to jump while performing her latest song, “Jump” with Gunna and Skillibeng at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday night.
Four women capably painted as a different section of a tiger laid around the floor of the cage, sweeping its tail prior to Skillibeng starting the performance with the introduction of the lyrics, “Original gyal, you are no replica (No)”. Tyla pitched against the stage in a rope swing, and fearlessly invaded the cage prior she started singing her viral lyric: “They never had a pretty girl from Joburg. See me now, and that’s what they prefurrr.”
Gunna dispatched his verse near the elephant statue before Skillibeng repitching the stage as men being escorted where Tyla danced beneath the stage.
On the following with “canceling her first headlining world tour”, and a Coachella concert which happened early this year because of a severe injury, Tyla appeared at a few major concerts such as Spotify Beach at Cannes Lions, and Afro Nation in early June. “Jump” is the recent single from Tyla’s self-titled debut album, which was published in March from FAX/Epic Records. It debuted no. 19 on Rhythmic Airplay, and No. 3 on Afrobeats Songs.
Tyla took home two BET Awards for Best New Artist and Best International Act. She received four nominations including Viewers’ Choice for her Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit song, “Water”, and Best Female R&B/Pop Artist. Gunna was also nominated for three awards: Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Album Of The Year with “A Gift & A Curse”, and Viewer’s Choice Award with “Fukumean.”
