South African singer, Tyla released the remix version of ‘Push 2 Start” with a duet a feature of Jamaican Recording Artist, Sean Paul on Friday, February 14, 2025, via FAX and Epic Records.
The rising star explained on Billboard about collaborating with Paul, how she admired him while singing his 2003 minor hit, “I’m Still in Love With You”.
“Everyone loves Sean Paul, there’s so many songs of his that I absolutely loved growing up,” said Tyla. “All those songs are so nostalgic and special and vibey. I really wanted that feeling on the song. And he’s been speaking to me about wanting to do something, so I felt like this would be the perfect thing.”
“Push 2 Start” was originally published in October 2024 to be appeared of one of three additional tracks on the deluxe version of Tyla’s self-titled debut album. “Push 2 Start” became her second Hot 100 appearance since her top 10 hit single, “Water”.
The 23-year-old performed “Push 2 Start” for the first time at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She is looking forward to earning an “Impact Award” for Billboard’s Women in Music of 2025 on Saturday, March 29 at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California.
