Worcester Native rapper, TyShawn Dion, released “Bacc Home Freestyle” on June 6, 2025, via SoundsLike Entertainment.
Dion wrote this “Bacc Home Freestyle” to represent his hometown, Worcester, Massachusetts. The theme of the song provides dreams, aspirations, and consideration. It was the follow-up of his release from 2024’s heartbreak 508 with a tribute to the tragic death of his goddaughter, Zella Nuñez, and his cousin, Chasity Nuñez. Understandably, it weighs on his shoulders. It samples Jorja Smith’s The One from her 2018 debut album Lost & Found.
In the early years of Dion’s life, he lost his father at a very young age, as he spoke about it in 2024 – “a tumultuous amount of loss I’ve suffered in my life”. “Bacc Home Freestyle” helped him to learn to cope with the pain in many aspects: going to therapy, concentrating on his career, and avoiding places that remind him of traumatic events.
Bacc Home Freestyle is now available on music streaming services.
