Women conquered the top five of the Billboard 200 Albums chart (reported July 13, 2024) as four of the top five entitled arranged by female artists. It became the first time for more than a year that at least four female artists reached the top five.
Taylor Swift’s “The Tourted Poets Department spent 11 consecutive weeks at the top of the charts, along with Megan Thee Stallion’s “Megan” peaked at number three, Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft peaked at number four, and Chappell Roan’s “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” made a new peaked at the top five for the first time in her music career with the rise 6-5. (“Morgan Wallen is the lone man in the top five, as his former No. 1 “One Thing at a Time” rises 3-2.”)
The last time that women reached the top five was reported on the week of March 24, 2023. Female group TWICE with their number two debut, “Ready to Be”, Miley Cyrus’s “Endless Summer Vacation” reached number three, SZA’s “SOS” decreased from 2-4, and Karol G’s “Mañana Será Bonito” fell 3-5.
