After the sneak peek of the Icy record, which many people knew to be involved in a freestyle on social media before the song was released, the YSL rapper published his first single of the year to music streaming services on February 16.
Gunna does not hash words that could be revealed out of the gate, as he mentioned the fallout with his collaboration, Lil’Baby to be considered as a “Drip Harder” partner who consistently criticizes Gunna for dealing the plea deal in the incident of YSL Rico case in 2022.
“S–t been rough, but I ain’t too tough to say I love and I miss you/ You my dawg, I don’t care if we fall out, n—a, I never could diss you/ For the chains and the fame, only we seen the vision/ Bout my name, let it bang, goin’ out with my pistol/ Got me a taste of this fame, it was sweet, now it’s bitter,” Gunna raps.
Even after what Gunna and his team went through, some of the YSL members’ had already disappeared to keep off the balance, and Gunna wanted to consequently to reunite with his team.
“My fans coming through for me, you think they entitled/ Thinking bout the crew again, could we reunite ’em/ As show they hate before they do something positive/ N—-s just want you to fade away and hope that you forgot ’em,” Gunna raps.
Gunna unbridled a frosty steered visual for the “Working on Dying-producing single.” The Spike Jordan-directed clip found the “Fukumean” rapper lumbering through the blizzard weather adjacent to his snow lodge house.
After Gunna reveals his winter outfit, he transforms into gym gear to work on his boxing training skills to reach his criteria of discipline, and his dedication to his weight loss transformation.
Gunna released his follow-up 2013 “Gift & a Curse” album, later this year. He is exposing more “substance” on his record and is predicted to step into the sounds of Afrobeats.
