Yet, a move to Pensacola at just six years old brought new influences. “Pensacola is a small city right by Alabama,” MJ shares. “But I grew up on MTV, watching Cash Money, OutKast, and Missy Elliott.” The clash of West Coast giants and Southern trailblazers created a melting pot of influences that defines MJ’s versatility today.
