British Songstress Jaz Karis released her new single, “Life Is Unfair,” on May 15, 2026, via MNRK Music Group. She co-wrote this track with Jack Monk, Issac Oshuntola, and Henry Cikanek, who also handled production duties. It is her first single since 2025’s Is It Alright.
According to Hamada Mania Music Blog, it explained about the development of songwriting – “the emotional, diary-like R&B track addresses the, at times, cruel nature of love and life, focusing on themes of betrayal, finding a loyal soulmate, and seeking comfort in a higher power, often described as a ‘lover girl’ sentiment facing the harsh realities of modern dating.”
“Life Is Unfair” is the lead single for Karis’s upcoming project, “Twenty Something,” which is set to be released on July 9 via MNRK Music Group.
