Kehlani published her latest single, “After Hours” on April 5, it sounds pretty good. Khris Riddick and Alex Goldblatt produced this upbeat dance record. Grammy-nominated R&B singer-songwriter getting hyped up in the gym, being prepared for the club. “We don’t gotta take it slow/ I’mma hit the gas if you’re ready to go/ I wanna speed it, breathe into your clothes/ The way you touch my neck got me ready to fold,” she sampled Nina Sky’s 2004 “Move Ya Body” which debuted on No.4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Kehlani released her first solo single since her third album, “Blue Water Road” (2022) which featured several artists such as Justin Bieber, Jessie Reyez, Syd, Blxst, Thundercat, and Ambré. “Blue Water Road” contained 13 tracks which it peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 pop album chart and No. 8 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Kehlani mentioned Blue Water Road following the publication of the album, it would be the first tour in five years since the SweetSexySavage World tour.
Kehlani authorized Wasserman Music due to international purposes in September 2023, joining Brent Smith, and Eli Gelernter providing her as a frontwoman at the company. David Ali from Above Ground Management managed Wasserman Music and approved Atlantic Records.
