Alternative R&B singer-songwriter Khamari released his recent single, Sycamore Tree on June 20, 2025, via Encore Recordings. It was interpolated D’Angelo’s 2000 R&B classic, “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” which concentrates on the bloom and wither of a relationship – “Khamari contemplates whether to remain planted or uproot himself from the fading romance.”
Khamari continues about the track – “the song captures how something subtle can slowly take over life, consuming you with desire until you lose your sense of direction. It’s deeply rooted, yet always just out of reach. I wanted the music to mirror that journey, starting soft and growing into something beautifully dramatic.”
“Sycamore Tree” is a follow-up to the Boston-native rising star’s previous single Head In a Jar that came out in May. Both tracks would be featured on his upcoming sophomore studio album later this summer via Encore Recordings.
