Sevyn Streeter released her latest single, “97,” on December 19, 2025, via Venice Music, the follow-up to her previous single, “Assumptions,” which brought an early Y2K Throwback as she took back the late 90s R&B sound.
Sevyn wrote and composed ‘97 as she worked with producer D’Mile (Victoria Monét, Lucky Daye), where he produced this track. The ambitious talent seized the opportunity to collaborate on developing music and creating magic, absorbing the essence of the era through a relaxed-centric song that incorporates keyboards, a drum machine, and a saxophone to craft seductive lyrics.
