Grammy-Award winning Recording Artist Tyla released her mixtape, WWP, her latest project since her record-selling self-titled debut album. The four-track release featured two summer singles: Bliss and Is It, along with two new songs, “DYNAMITE” featuring Wizkid and the dancehall track, “MR. MEDIA”.
Produced by P. Prime and Sammy Soso, WWP provides fans a glimpse into the height of the singer’s new era after her homecoming tour in South Africa. Tyla’s combination of vocal sophistication and rhythmic sound consistently wins over with “Bliss” and “Is It,” which is skyrocketing the charts and has appeared in Coca-Cola campaigns.
The long-awaited “DYNAMITE” collaboration with Nigerian singer, Wizkid, who is recently fans’ international favorite artist. Tyla made a sneak peek of the track at a private listening party in London; she released its original in 2022.
“When I thought of doing a mixtape called ‘WWP’, I went back to all my old demos and remembered the Wiz one,” said Tyla. “It was still good after three years. I just told him, ‘Let’s finish it.’”
The publication of WWP continues Tyla’s relentless force. Her debut album reached her achievement as the highest-charting African selling female artist on both Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200, respectively. Last Year, she came out with a bang on her TYLA+ deluxe album that features bonus songs, including Shake Ah and Push 2 Start.
