Grammy-Award winning Recording Artist Tyla has released her mixtape, WWP. It is her latest project since her record-selling self-titled debut album. The four-track release features two summer singles: “Bliss” and “Is It.” Additionally, it includes two new songs: “DYNAMITE” featuring Wizkid, and the dancehall track “MR. MEDIA.”
Produced by P. Prime and Sammy Soso, WWP gives fans a glimpse into the height of the singer’s new era. This follows her homecoming tour in South Africa. For instance, Tyla’s combination of vocal sophistication and rhythmic sound consistently wins over listeners with “Bliss” and “Is It.” As a result, “Is It” is skyrocketing the charts and has appeared in Coca-Cola campaigns.
The long-awaited “DYNAMITE” collaboration features Nigerian singer Wizkid, who is recently fans’ international favorite artist. Tyla first gave a sneak peek of the track at a private listening party in London. However, she originally released the demo version back in 2022.
“When I thought of doing a mixtape called ‘WWP’, I went back to all my old demos,” said Tyla. “I remembered the Wiz one. It was still good after three years. So, I just told him, ‘Let’s finish it.’”
The publication of WWP continues Tyla’s relentless force in the music industry. For example, her debut album achieved her status as the highest-charting African female artist on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200. Last year, she came out with a bang on her TYLA+ deluxe album. That album features bonus songs, including “Shake Ah” and “Push 2 Start.”
