Multi-platinum Grammy-nominated rapper Wale released his eighth studio, “everything is a lot” via Def Jam Recordings. The 18-track project is Wale’s recent contemplative progress to date, unloading mental health, self-reflection, and the contemplation of personal growth.
Wale explained about the development of the album title, “I called it ‘everything is a lot’
. because that is how life feels sometimes. But in the madness, there is meaning. This project follows me as I find peace in the noise and remind myself that heaviness is part of growth.”
With “everything is a lot”, Wale strengthens his distinction as one of hip hop’s most recognizable voices. The album brought cultures, a tribute to his Nigerian roots and D.C. foundation, and provides a profoundly human discovery on advancement and strength.
