Mariah Carey released “Type Dangerous” on June 6, 2025, via Gamma, her first original solo record since her 2018 album, Caution.
Carey wrote and produced “Type Dangerous” with N.W.I. and Daniel Moore, where it sampled Eric B. & Rakim’s Paid In Full/Follow the Leader classic song, Eric B. Is President. Carey made a press release about the excitement of releasing the song. She is looking forward to starting the phenomenal chapter in her music career.
“I’m so excited to finally be releasing ‘Type Dangerous’ into the world,” said Carey. “I’ve been locked up in the studio for quite some time working my behind off on new music, and I’m thrilled for the unveiling of it to my fans, starting with ‘Type Dangerous’!”
