Well, it looks like Tyla is thrilled that her sophomore album will tease her with a new song, “Bliss,” on Tuesday, April 29.
“Take me out of my mind/Oh-oh-oh, oh, oh-oh/Take me out of my mind/ Oh-oh-oh, oh, oh-oh/ You take me to bliss,” she crooned in a video on her social media page. A white angel wing miraculously appeared behind her.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter performed the song during her Coachella show this month. “Bliss” is also the new brand on her Erewhon Smoothie – “proceeds from smoothie purchases will go to 18twenty8, a non-profit group based on her native South Africa that empowers women between the ages of 18 and 28 by developing strategies for their educational and personal development.”
Tyla appeared on Billboard’s Women in Music interview back in March. The Impact-Award winner announced that she is looking forward to releasing her upcoming sophomore album, hopefully this year.
“I’ve changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to with how fast I had to adapt to everything,” said Tyla. “I don’t think it’s going to be the same energy [as ‘Tyla’] at all, especially with what I’ve started making. It’s different, but also still Tyla.”
