Crystal Jolie’s “Wish” brings a soulful boom bap release to listeners discovering independent hip-hop. Originally from the Bronx and now based in South Carolina, the artist released the single on October 1, 2026, with production by Dirty Bakerz and distribution through Roc Nation Distribution.
The record pairs Crystal’s reflective storytelling with a sound rooted in boom bap. Its title offers a simple entry point: the hopes people carry and the possibility of something better. For listeners drawn to personal expression in hip-hop, “Wish” is an introduction to an artist putting that spirit at the center of her release.
Crystal’s background connects two places with distinct musical histories. The Bronx is where hip-hop began; South Carolina is where she is based today. Together, those details help tell the story of an artist carrying her roots into a new chapter.
Dirty Bakerz handles production on the single, continuing the team’s work with independent hip-hop artists. “Wish” places that collaboration in front of an audience interested in soulful beats and reflective songs.
Released through Roc Nation Distribution, the single is now part of an IVMM campaign reaching out to DJs, radio programmers, blogs, and listeners. For Crystal, the release creates an opportunity to introduce her music beyond her immediate community and connect with people who follow boom bap.
“Wish” is available now. Listen on Spotify, watch the music video on YouTube, and follow @iamcrystaljolie for artist updates.
